The End

Well, Baby died today.  I went to check on her about two o'clock, and she was gone.  I'd been going back and forth about having her euthanized, and had finally decided it was for the best.  But I waited too long.  I don't think she was in any pain when she died, but I doubt if she was very happy at the time.  I'll spare you the gory details of her last days and her death.  She was a good cat, and she will be missed.

  5. Please accept my sympathy for the loss of your loved one. Our pets are such comfort and joy to us and it is so very hard when we lose them. We had our beloved Asta (Westie) put down almost two years ago. She was a part of our lives for 15 years and still is in our hearts. Keep your memories and you will get through this.

  6. She was on my mind this morning, Ernie. Wish I could have met her. I'm sure she was a terrific companion. And, what a scrappy little fighter!

  7. Bye, Lumpy, or Baby, it does not matter, does it? The cat sleeping by me has many names too, and sometimes i look at him, and i wish i'll go at the same time he does. But tonight, i'll toast to Lumpy. She was lucky to have found you :-)

  8. So vwey sorry, Ernie. I didn't know her, but after reading your descriptions of her, I miss her, too.

This was an awful week for us, too--old Bill's tumor turned out to be cancer. And we had to put down a new red cat who tested + for FELV.

At my blog, I'll describe our drive back (car totaled, fractured spine--mine).

    Fun City.
