The Next Week In June

For a nice change, I thought I would past this week's calendar page on time at the beginning of the week instead of at the end. What you are looking at is the lighthouse at Hillsborough Inlet near Pompano Beach, FL. It's located on a Coast Guard base, but they open it up to the public about four times a year. The property it sits on is probably the only undeveloped piece of real estate for miles and miles on either side of the tower, judging by the view from the top.

  2. That's a formerly-shrunken head from the Jungle Cruise at Disney World. ("He'll trade two of his heads for one of yours!") It floated down to Boca Raton, swelling up along the way. I think the red color is from some people who were chumming for shark.

Or maybe it's just the float from a crab trap. I can't be certain either way.
